With modern day schedules and stressors the average child is experiencing a greater deal of stress than ever before. This stress has huge impacts on their nervous systems which can lead to health challenges. Many parents choose to bring their children in to be checked by a Chiropractor as a proactive aid in keeping their children active and healthy. We often see babies right after birth to ensure they start their development properly to avoid future difficulties and health issues.
Chiropractic care helps support your body through all of the transitions of pregnancy as the body rapidly changes to grow and nurture your baby. When your pelvis is aligned, the muscles & ligaments surrounding your pelvis and uterus are balanced. With this ease throughout the muscles and structures of the body your nervous system is fully functioning and you will experience more comfort, and often times easier labor and faster recovery. We are trained in pregnancy specific Webster Technique and look forward to helping you!
Because the nerves in the central and peripheral systems of the body control everything that happens in your horse, anything adversely affecting the nervous system will have detrimental effects that can resonate throughout the whole body. The command centers of the nervous system are the brain and spinal cord which are protected by the spine which includes a framework of bones (vertebra), ligaments, muscles and nerves. If the bio mechanics of this framework become dysfunctional, they can interfere with the performance of the nerves that are branching off of the spinal cord and running to the all of the muscles and organs throughout the body. With this interference, your animal can lose normal mobility and motion; resulting in things like stiffness, tension, pain and sometimes organ dysfunction.
Symptoms of spinal fixation vary and may include visible pain and discomfort in standing or movements, muscle spasms, sensitivity to touch, lameness, gait abnormalities and postural compromise or changes.
There can be many individuals out there that claim to do "animal adjustments". However, without the proper training they may or may not be helping to improve the function and bio mechanics of your animals. The AVCA has a mission to promote quality in the animal chiropractic profession so you should be looking for a DVM or DC that is certified in animal chiropractic to ensure the best quality adjustments for your animals.
To schedule a farm call visit for 1 or more animals just call the office and we can get you set up on the schedule. We will need the information for where the doc will be headed, how many and what type of animals are being adjusted and if you have ever been seen before. As Dr. Jones is a DC a Veterinary referral is also needed from your current vet before adjustments can be made. We can send that over to you in advance so that is signed and ready to go for all animals when she arrives on the day of the adjustment.
