Employment: Full-time

Manage daily air and ocean freight operations, ensuring shipments move efficiently, customer requirements are met, and the team delivers consistent service and financial performance.

Responsibilities

• Lead import and export operations across air and ocean freight.
\n
• Manage workloads, staffing, training and team performance.
\n
• Oversee shipment execution, documentation, customs coordination and delivery.
\n
• Resolve service issues, delays and escalations with customers and suppliers.
\n
• Monitor operational costs, shipment profitability, billing accuracy and KPIs.
\n
• Maintain relationships with carriers, agents, customs brokers and transport providers.
\n
• Ensure adherence to applicable regulations, customer requirements and company procedures.
\n
• Improve processes, productivity and service quality.
\n
• Support sales with pricing, operational planning and customer onboarding.
\n
• Report operational and financial performance to senior management.
\n

Requirements

\n
• Demonstrated operations experience within international freight forwarding.
\n
• Previous responsibility for managing a team.
\n
• Strong understanding of air and ocean freight, import and export procedures, and shipment documentation.
\n
• Commercial awareness and experience managing costs and profitability.
\n
• Strong organisation, communication and problem-solving skills.
\n
• Experience using freight management systems; CargoWise experience preferred.
\n
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
