Director, FP&A | High-Growth Consumer Finance Platform | NYC

We’re working with a high-growth consumer finance platform that is building technology and financial products designed to make financing simpler and more accessible for consumers and businesses.

The business has 600+ employees and has built a scaled platform across lending, customer acquisition and servicing. As the company continues to grow, they’re looking for a Director of FP&A to take ownership of a broad financial planning, modelling and analytics function.

The Role

This is a senior FP&A position with significant exposure to executive leadership and the wider finance organisation.

You’ll lead complex financial analysis and modelling, support strategic decision-making and help the business understand performance, profitability and future growth opportunities.

What You’ll Do

• Lead financial modelling, valuation and forecasting across the business
• Build and maintain sophisticated DCF and financial models
• Analyse business performance, profitability and key financial drivers
• Support financing strategy and strategic investment decisions
• Partner closely with Accounting, Capital Markets and senior leadership
• Develop analytical tools and improve forecasting processes
• Build reporting and presentations for executive leadership
• Enhance financial reporting and analytics using Excel, Power BI, SQL and other systems

What We’re Looking For

• 8–12+ years of experience across FP&A, valuation, investment banking, consulting, Big Four or financial institutions
• Strong financial modelling and DCF experience
• Experience with valuation / fair value methodologies
• Background in consumer finance, lending, fintech, banking or specialty finance
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial statements
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication skills and confidence working with senior stakeholders
• Experience with SQL, Power BI or other BI tools is a plus
